An introduction to Amanda Cavitt, our new Executive Director
Concluding an intensive selection process, the board of directors at Tillamook Early Learning Center is pleased to announce that Amanda Cavitt has been appointed to the position of Executive Director.
Cavitt’s 19 years of experience in early childhood education will enrich and strengthen TELC’s programs. Throughout her career, Amanda has worked extensively as an early learning teacher in both non-profit and publicly funded programs. She also has experience in development work such as fundraising and grant writing.
Nikki Brown, Chair of TELC’s Search Committee said, “With Amanda’s background in non-profit development work and early childhood education, Amanda is absolutely the right person to lead TELC and build upon the strengths of TELC’s early learning programs in our community.”
Julie Hurliman, Chair of TELC’s Board of Directors added, “We are very excited to begin working with Amanda. Amanda’s skill set is the perfect fit for TELC and the organization’s goal to provide a nurturing environment full of early learning opportunities for the children in our community.”
Amanda was raised in Alaska, and attended the University of Alaska Anchorage, but has called Oregon home for over four years now. Amanda officially took her role as Executive Director on March 28, 2016.

Lead Teacher - Full Time
Desired Applicant must be enrolled in the Oregon Central Background Registry and preferably be a Step 8 on the Oregon Registry.
Teacher's Aide - Full Time
Desired Applicant must be enrolled in the Oregon Central Background Registry and preferably be a Step 5 on the Oregon Registry.
Floater - Full Time
This job is one of many hats! You will have the opportunity to work with students, families and teachers. Responsibilities will include serving food and working in the kitchen as well as giving staff breaks and assisting in classroom where and as needed.
